The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Exam is one of the most prestigious state-level competitive examinations conducted to recruit candidates for various administrative and civil service positions under the Government of Bihar. The exam primarily aims to select officers for key posts such as Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Revenue Officer, Block Development Officer, and many others in Group A and B services.

Free Coaching for BPSC Exams

The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (BPSC CCE) is conducted in three stages:

Preliminary Examination

  • Objective type paper with 150 questions
  • General Studies (History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Current Affairs)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Marks: 150
  • Qualifying in nature – marks are not counted in final merit

Main Examination

  • Descriptive written examination
  • Papers include:
    1. General Hindi (qualifying)
    2. General Studies Paper 1 & 2
    3. Optional Subject (selected from BPSC’s list)
  • Marks of GS and optional paper count for final merit

Interview / Personality Test

  • Conducted for candidates who clear the Mains
  • Assesses candidate’s personality, awareness, and suitability for administrative roles
  • Marks: 120
